ASEAN Smart City Professional Program

ASEAN Smart City Professional Program (ASPP)

ASEAN Smart City Professional Program (ASPP), funded by ASEAN-Republic of Korea Cooperation Fund (AKCF), seeks to further operationalize the commitments to pursue cooperation on sustainable urban development and smart city, and jointly consider ways to integrate technological advancement made in areas such as smart urban development, smart housing, smart safety, smart mobility and smart water; by providing short-term and long-term training to Smart City professionals who have been working at various public organizations and government agencies of ASEAN Member States (AMS).

The ASPP program is composed of two tracks:
(1) a short-term training program targeting member cities of the ASEAN Smart City Network, and
(2) a full-time master’s program, a long-term training program targeting ASEAN member states.

Considering the different conditions and target areas of ASEAN, customized seminars and project building activities are designed and are currently being operated by Seoul National University’s Global R&DB Center.

This project is not only cultivating smart city experts for ASEAN Member States, but also building the ASEAN smart city knowledge sharing platform contributing to enhance better mutual understanding across cultures so that it can support the implementation of Master Plan on ASEAN Connectivity (MPAC) 2025.
